Party Wall Surveyors

A Party Wall Survey helps identify all issues relating to the Part Wall Act 1996. The Act deals with works that are likely to affect Party Walls and has been extended to include excavations within close proximity to neighbouring structures. It is intended to enable works top proceed reasonably and considerately.

If you are the building owner and carrying out the works our Party Wall Surveyors can:

• help you identify which properties fall within the scope of the Party Wall Act;
• serve Party Wall notices on your behalf;
• prepare a Party Wall Award often known as a Party Wall Agreement;
• assess the condition of neighbouring properties to identify possible pre-existing defects.

If you are the neighbour of someone who is carrying out building works our Party Wall Surveyors can:

• advise you on your rights under the Party Wall Act;
• advise and control to minimise possible disruption and damage to your property;
• monitor works and identify any impact and report.

PLEASE NOTE: Under the Act, the developer is required to pay our fees on your behalf.
