Channel 4's - Help! My House is Falling Down has provided some alarming headlines and stories regarding UK construction 'gone wrong'. The show, presented by Sarah Beeny has shown what can happen when homes and property are subject to poor development, construction and maintenance but then shows how with the correct blend of skills and expertise how they can be put right.

The fifth episode of the series featured Carole a single mum who inherited her dad's 1950s bungalow in Lytham St Annes. It should have been the perfect place to live her 'Good Life' dream. But alarming cracks appeared in the property and the floors sloped due to subsidence leaving Carole and her son worried for the very future of the home.

With the help of a team of experts including Aedis' very own Steven Spence and John Horn the property was turned round and is now the dream home Carole always wanted.
