The Company and its Goals

The company was founded in 2008 by the three Directors Steven Spence, Alan Barraclough and Joe Ayre which shared between them have over 60 years experience in the industry, both public and private sectors.

The company initially opened for business on the 1^st June 2008 with three offices in Gateshead Tyne & Wear, Middlesbrough and Aske North Yorkshire. Due to an overwhelming requirement for our services, additional offices are being opened in Bournemouth, Farnborough, Tobridge Wells, Coventry and Warrington

Further to our regional offices, we have site inspectors working from satellite locations to ensure we provide the service we promise.

As a multidiscipline company, we have already developed a substantial client base which includes Homeowners, other Approved Inspectors, Sandwich Chain, Luxury Housing Developers, Timber Frame Companies, Architects and Property Management Companies utilising our complete geographical and comprehensive coverage. We credit this to our excellent service and highly competitive fee structure.

As the Building Regulation are ever changing and becoming more complex, pro active planning is ever essential and that's why at Aedis we are keen to be involved in projects at an early stage so we can provide pre application effective and efficient advice to ensure when the project commences combined with our excellent inspection service, the projects runs smoothly.

As geographical area is irrelevant to Aedis, you be assured of continuity as all clients have a single contact point in the company, even if a query is raised on site, the query will be put through your contact to ensure you always get the same answer!
